Welcome to Youth Empowerment Services. We are a faith based, non-profit, volunteer oriented organization promoting safe-haven and life transforming programs for families in the New Brunswick community.

CAST provides a variety of children's planned activities geared towards promoting the development of language, thinking and problem-solving skills, curiosity, exploration, social competence, self-esteem and positive self-identity. The cultural background of the children can assist in fostering intercultural awareness for the children grades 1st through 8th. Most of the tutors are students from local colleges and universities who have a passion to be a part of helping a child reach their highest potential. The program functions throughout the academic year after school Monday through Friday from 3:30 - 5:30pm.
The Community After School Tutoring program is a volunteer based program. Two staff members implement the operations of the day-to-day tasks. The budget is divided into two sections 1) salaries and 2) operations and programming. The cost of each student is under six dollars per day. This includes educational materials, computer lab, library, craft supplies, activities and a nutritional snack and drinks every day. Costs of operations (occupancy, utilities, insurance, phone and internet) are also included in that figure. The tutors assist in serving the at-risk children in this community. YES has attempted to operate a very cost effective program to meet the needs of the children.
