Resume Writing Classes

YES wants to see individuals make an investment in their own future. Many times as adults go out to seek employment they are not prepared because of a weak resume. They do not know how to create a complete history of their past and compile it in an orderly fashion. Through this course we share with class members how to identify themselves properly, explain personal aspirations and desires, provide their personal qualities, give a progression of their work experiences and render their education and training up to that point.

The course explains the importance of community involvement, so the class members can assemble lists of community activities, organizations and affiliations they are associated with. The importance of strong references is discussed. The class encourages the participant to include any assets at the end of the resume that they would like an employer to be aware of that is not covered in the content to better represent themselves. A resume should be strong and not sell themselves short.
